L’entreprise sociale associe des objectifs sociétaux avec un esprit d’entreprise. C’est une organisation axée sur l’accomplissement de grands objectifs sociaux, environnementaux ou communautaires. La Commission européenne vise à créer un environnement financier, administratif et juridique favorable à ce type d’entreprises afin qu’elles puissent être sur un pied d’égalité avec les autres sociétés du même secteur. Lancée en 2011, la Social Business Initiative a identifié les actions qui apporteraient des résultats concrets et amélioreraient la situation sur le terrain pour les entreprises sociales.
Social enterprises combine societal goals with an entrepreneurial spirit. These organisations focus on achieving wider social, environmental or community objectives. The European Commission aims to create a favourable financial, administrative and legal environment for these enterprises so that they can operate on an equal footing with other types of enterprises in the same sector. The Social Business Initiative, launched in 2011 identified actions to make a real difference and improve the situation on the ground for social enterprises.
